Toronto Christmas Market - Distillery District

We bundled up and went downtown this weekend to enjoy the Toronto Christmas Market put on every year at the Distillery District.  It's basically a winter street festival with lots of food, Christmas decor, cafes, art galleries, beautiful architecture...basically everything I like in one location. This is one of my favourite places to go in Toronto and it's even more beautiful at this time of the year.

If you get a chance to go, make sure you stop by Balzac's Coffee and Soma Chocolatemaker.

(all photos taken by me with iPhone)

The Toronto Christmas Market runs until Dec 20, 2015 and is a definite must see if you're in Toronto during the Christmas Season.

Working on getting our Christmas decor up this week...which is proving to be a little hard with a puppy.:(

Distillery District - A Toronto Must See

We were in Toronto this weekend and made a stop at the Distillery District, which is a must see if you're visiting Toronto.  Several old Gooderham & Worts factories have been transformed into an art oasis.  Boutiques, cafes, art galleries and restaurants are joined by bricked streets.  Like anyone would have to force me to go there for the day.

We stopped by one of my fav coffee shops Balzac's Coffee.  The interior of this coffee shop is like WOW!  Check out the gi-normous chandelier.  (Below inside pictures were taken from their website as my pics didn't turn out).

We then stopped by El Catrin Destilleria for some Mexican cuisine.  Love, love, love the decor in this place - colourful tiles, bold art and huge drum chandeliers!!

Our last stop was Soma Chocolate which is enjoyed by kids and adults because they make the chocolate right in front of you.

Hope you enjoyed the visual tour.  Make sure you stop by the Distillery District the next time you're in Toronto.

(All pics, excluding the
inside of Balzac's, were taken
 with my Samsung S4).
