My Picks for Best Dressed at the 2016 Emmy Awards

Allison Janney wearing Bradley Mischka

Some of the older women rocked it for me last night at the Emmy Awards.  Allison Janney looked amazing (maybe it's because her boyfriend is 20 yrs. younger than her)...everything about this look was on point.  And how about Lily Tomlin...fun, classic & age appropriate...I thought she looked so sweet.
Here are some more dresses that stood out for me.

 Lily Tomlin

Neve Campbell wearing Christian Siriano

 Natalie Morales

 Angela Bassett

 Melora Hardin

 Niecy Nash

 Keltie Knight

 Felicity Huffman wearing Tony Ward

I was on the fence about this one, worn by Emily Ratajkowski,...I loved the colour & construction.  The bottom was amazing but the top for me was too structured & wasn't quite right...if the triangles on the top were removed, it would have complimented the bottom much better. But beautiful dress nonetheless.

And the host of What Not to Wear won the What Not to Wear Award for me.
This was wrong in so many ways!

My Best Dressed Picks for Oscars 2016

This Elizabeth Kennedy gown worn by Mindy Kaling was by far one of my favorites...check out the back of this dress...absolutely striking!   I think the makeup was a bit dark and a hit of pink on the lip and cheek would have been much fresher but I loved this gown.

Another favorite for me was Patricia Arquette who looked striking in this deep blue matte, satin gown by Marina Rinaldi.

 Sarah Silverman wearing Zac Posen.

Olivia Munn wearing Stella McCartney.

Charlize Theron wearing Dior.

Jennifer Lawrence wearing Dior.

Eddie Redmayne and his pregnant wife wearing Alexander McQueen.

Here's a couple of dresses worn by TV hosts that I thought were bang on.

This beaded gown worn by Robin Roberts was striking.

This charcoal beaded gown by Dennis Basso was absolutely stunning on Kelly Ripa.

And my top pick for men was Sylvester Stallone...he looked amazing in this navy & black tux.

My Fashion Picks from the 2016 Golden Globes

 Kirsten Dunst wearing Valentino
Love the lines of this dress...very chic.

Lady Gaga wearing Versace
Beautiful dress on Lady Gaga, however, thought her hair was a little too yellow...other than that, stunning.

Taraji P. Henson wearing Stella McCartney
...and that purse!

Jennifer Lopez wearing Giambattista Valli
Jennifer's dress has a lot going on but somehow she pulls it off.  The necklace and the lips were a little much but other than that, I liked it.  (And just an aside here, just started watching her new show Shades of Blue...very good...a big thumbs up.  She's got her cop look on in this pic...haha.)

 Kate Winslet wearing Ralph Lauren

Gina Rodriquez wearing Zac Posen

Jennifer Jason Leigh

 Malin Ackerman wearing Reem Acra
There were quite a few shiny & shimmery dresses but this beaded dress was the only one I liked.  Most jump out at you but this one is calm & classic...hair, makeup and dress were spot on.

Eddie Redmayne
And let's not leave the men out...not sure who Eddie's wearing but thought this subtle navy blue, polka dot jacket was quite dapper especially paired with black pants.  A nice twist on the common tux...well done!

My Fashion Picks - 2015 Oscars

 Reese Witherspoon wearing Tom Ford

I thought Reese Witherspoon looked absolutely stunning in Tom Ford.  Her dress, hair and makeup were bang on.  This was definitely my fave.  Here are the other ones I thought stood out.

 Felicity Jones wearing Alexander McQueen

Cate Blanchett wearing Maison Margiela

Rene Russo wearing J. Mendel

 Oprah Winfrey wearing Vera Wang

Sienna Miller wearing Oscar de La Renta

Lupita Nyong'o wearing Calvin Klein

Lupita's dress wouldn't look good on too many people, but I thought it looked stunning on her.  It had an exotic element with all the pearls (6,000 to be exact), which is totally her.  I loved the emerald green dress worn by Scarlett Johansson, but would have loved it more without the earrings and the necklace.

And just so I don't forget the men... I loved this midnight blue tux with black lapels worn by Eddie Redmayne.   Also, check out his shoes... they look like velvet - great look!

My Favourite Dresses from Golden Globes 2015

Kelly Osborne wearing Georges Chakra

I curled up with my dog, Po, last night and watched some of the Golden Globes.  To tell the truth, I actually watch it to see all the amazing fashion.   My favourite dress last night was the one above worn by Kelly Osborne.  I thought it fit her so well, and I love the train and the bell sleeves.  This dress has beautiful lines and was stunning on her!

I thought most of the dresses were just not right for the person, or in some cases, didn't fit right.  But here are the ones I thought stood out.

 Diane Kruger wearing Emilia Wickstead

 Katherine Heigl wearing Zac Posen

 Jennifer Lopez wearing Zuhai Murad

Helen Mirren wearing Dolce & Gabbana

Taylor Schilling wearing Ralph Lauren

Deborah Norville wearing Austin Scarlett

 Emma Stone wearing Lanvin

 Frances O'Connor
