Time for Peonies

A bouquet from my garden just for you!  

These have to be my favourite & lucky me, my garden is bursting this year.

(And on another note... with all the crazy that is going on in the world, I went down a BIG rabbit hole, which led me to this,  this, this, this and this. All of these stories do link together, and I believe we are going to see many political leaders and hollywood celebs connected as well.  These women are excellent researchers & spend many hours digging for truth.  I strongly recommend that you follow them).

With all of this being revealed, we truly need more peonies in the world... Enjoy the pretty!

Pink in My Garden

My fave colors in the garden are deep blue & pink, and this year the pink shone through.  And right when my peonies were blooming, my neighbor's pale pink roses came cascading down over my fence as if perfectly placed...like a little gift to me!  So beautiful!  .

My Mother's Day Gift to Myself

When you're grocery shopping a few days before Mother's Day and you happen upon THE most amazing purple hydrangeas you've ever seen in your life, YOU BUY THEM!!!  Can you believe how dark these are?  Wow...thank you Superstore!   

And then I found the cutest baskets...above is from HomeSense and the cute one below I scored at Dollarama...because every potted Hydrangea needs a basket!

A BOUQUET FOR YOU!

This past week I've been picking bouquets of peonies over here...doesn't get any better than this.  I've gone from lilacs to peonies.  Absolutely one of my fave flowers in my garden.  Of course once you pick them they have to go in every room in the house cuz they just smell so good...wish this was scratch and sniff. 

I like to put them in all the bedrooms...it's beautiful to go to bed and wake up with that smell.  And just a little advice to parents out there, they make teenagers wake up much happier when you place them next to their bed!  ;)  
 I also put some next to my daughter when she was studying for exams.

I'm definitely going to be pinning these!

French Lilacs

If you follow me on Instagram you know my love for flowers.   So what a surprise for me a couple of weeks ago when I walked into my friend's backyard and saw her French lilacs all in bloom.  I have a very small lilac that finally bloomed last year, but to see these towering in her backyard was so stunning.  She even sent me home with a bucket of them, which of course, went into every room in the house.

Pink Peonies

So I had a little explosion of Peony goodness in my backyard last week...one of my  Peonies had 26 blooms!  The deep  pink ones are so fragrant...I had to put them in every room of my house.  My very first home had a whole row of these Peonies that the previous owner had planted, and this really was what started my love for gardening.  Every time I move I  take some with me...I'm a little sentimental.  The pale pink ones are not as fragrant, but are stunning with their yellow centres.
